Our Story

To form a community of aspiring change-makers

Recognizing the increasing urgency of global warming issues, more and more students at North Carolina State University are actively seeking ways to be at the forefront of sustainability. As businesses and corporations continue to be a significant contribution to climate change, why don't we initiate changes from within? Increasingly more companies are taking part in the global sustainability efforts, and this shift presents new opportunities. However, business is complex. Companies require leaders who can initiate the necessary changes while still meeting important demands from key stakeholders. Such business leaders will need a community for support and development. Since such form of support did not exist then, we felt the need to make it a reality. In Spring 2023, the Student Business Sustainability Association (SBSA) was founded at North Carolina State University for the aspiring change-makers.
